Jujutsu Kaisen 0’s US opening was a massive success.
The film made more than US$17.6 million during its opening weekend on March 18, according to box office authority Exhibitor Relations Co. The movie was shown in over 2,300 theaters nationwide in English dubbed and subbed releases, distributed by Crunchyroll, in association with Funimation.
The anime film continues to break records domestically, and has earned a spot on the list of highest-grossing anime films of all time.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 USA sales soar to US$31.4 million, becoming the 4th highest grossing anime movie in the country
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is now the fourth highest-grossing anime movie of all time in the USA with an estimated US$31.4 million earnings.
The MAPPA film dominated the American box office just three weeks since its premiere three weeks ago, dethroning the 2019 Toei Animation movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly which is now in fifth place at US$30.7 million at the box office.
Pokemon: The Movie 2000’s US$43.7 million revenue makes it the third highest-grossing movie of all time. In second place is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train which grossed US$47.7 million back in 2020.
Pokemon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back is the highest-grossing anime film in the US, which made over US$85.7 million at the box office.

Currently, JJK 0 is the 10th highest-grossing anime film worldwide with US$148.6 million gross earnings.
The movie is based on Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0 manga, a four-chapter series that introduces readers to its expansive universe. It follows Yuta Okkotsu, a high-school student who is haunted by the cursed spirit of his childhood friend, Rika Orimoto.
