Romantic comedy Kaguya-sama is moving on up to the big screens.
The new Kaguya movie, titled Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai), follows the arc of the same name. The events take place right after the epic finale of season three.
The news was first reported in Kadokawa’s August issue of Newtype magazine, via AnimeNewsNetwork.

What’s going to happen in the new animated Kaguya movie?
The next story arc focuses almost entirely on Kaguya and Miyuki’s budding relationship, delving deep into the insecurities and personal histories that made them both so hesitant to confess — though more emphasis is placed on titular character Kaguya.
It’s a poignant story that combines manga artist Aka Akasaka’s signature blend of whiplash comedy and hard-hitting character development, and is arguably one of the best arcs in the manga.
The manga, set to end by the end of the year, has become a massive hit, thanks to its numerous anime seasons that go above and beyond. A-1 Pictures, responsible for the adaptations, has done a stellar job in each of the three seasons so far, and will no doubt do justice to the animated movie.
