It seems like Tite Kubo, creator of Bleach, is unleashing his Bankai for anime fans.
In a video message broadcasted after the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War trailer reveal at Anime Expo, the Bleach creator and mangaka expressed that he was looking forward to see the adaptation of the manga’s final arc.

Kubo is “involved” in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War anime, pushing for new battle scenes
Kubo said that several battle scenes “never made it to the manga,” and wanted to “insert those scenes as much as possible.”
The Thousand Year Blood War manga arc spanned nearly 200 chapters, the longest individual arc of the manga. Even then, in a series known for its large cast, there was barely enough time to give everybody their due spotlight, with general fan consensus that it felt rushed. Several characters were off-screened, with many battles only acknowledged instead of being put on the page.
Kubo saw his health decline as Bleach’s 15-year serialization went on—a common problem amongst mangakas with long-running series.
The author said that he had been “sending over lots of battle design ideas for all the characters,” in the hopes that the studio will “make good use of them.”
“It’s safe to say I’m involved in every step of the process,” Kubo said.
