Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of the Hunter x Hunter manga, has hinted at the return of his beloved series.
After Hunter x Hunter was moved to the archived serialization section of Shonen Jump’s official website, and three months of radio silence, Togashi finally started drawing again.
Togashi had been suffering from a chronic back condition, making it difficult to draw for long periods. This condition had caused several extended breaks in the publication of Hunter x Hunter over the years.
Fortunately, the Japanese manga artist is feeling much better, which could prevent another long hiatus.

Yoshihiro Togashi returns to work and hints at the return of the Hunter x Hunter manga
According to Togashi’s most recent tweet, he finished chapter 401 of the manga. He also reported that he can spend more time at his work desk now that he’s feeling better. However, he also explained that the production system for the manga has not been fixed.
The manga was on a four-year hiatus before chapter 391 was released on October 24 last year. The series is in its eight story arc, the Succession Contest arc, which started on November 26, 2018.
Hunter X Hunter follows the story of Gon Freecss, a young boy who discovers his father is a legendary Hunter. Elite individuals specializing in various skills, such as tracking, exploration, and combat can become true Hunters.
The manga’s latest arc highlights Kurapika, one of Gon’s travel companions. Kurapika gets entangled with the Kakin Empire’s 14 princes on the Black Whale ship.
The latest Hunter x Hunter chapter titled Secrecy was released on December 26 last year. However, the manga is no longer listed as serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump on the magazine’s official website.
It was moved to the archived serializations section, putting it alongside ended, canceled, and transferred works.
There have yet to be any official announcements from Shonen Jump regarding the future of the Hunter x Hunter manga.
