The Chainsaw Man manga is now back with weekly releases, telling a brand new story within Denji‘s devil-infested universe.

Part 2 of Chainsaw Man focuses on a new protagonist named Asa Mitaka — an introverted high school student who detests small talk, class activities, and devils — and her everyday life after the events of Part 1.

Who is Yuko in Chainsaw Man Part 2?

Yuko is a supporting character in Chainsaw Man Part 2. She goes to the same high school as Asa Mitaka and becomes her groupmate in the Devil Hunter club.

As the group gets ready to scout out their school, Yuko breaks the ice by introducing herself and mentioning that she likes Chainsaw Man. Their third partner, Yoshida, also reveals that he likes Chainsaw Man too.

The three pass by a group of girls from Asa’s class, making her remember the Bucky incident. Now anxious, Asa tries to leave the group, but Yuko follows her to the locker area, where she sees Asa’s shoes covered in raw meat — a prank possibly done by her classmates.

Asa decides to leave school without any shoes, with Yuko trailing right behind her. Both tired from the walk, Yuko throws one of her shoes at Asa and runs away, prompting Asa to chase her to return the shoe.

The two arrive at Yuko’s home, where they both take a breather. Yuko invites Asa inside, but she declines the invitation.

As the two say goodbye, Yuko is persistent in giving her the pair of shoes. While Asa initially declines, Yuko tells her that she can do whatever she wants with it. She shyly accepts the pair and later scolds the War Devil for suggesting that they should sell the gift.

Personality of Yuko in Chainsaw Man

Yuko is a kind-hearted person who easily befriends the people she meets. While Asa and Yoshida usually keep to themselves, she does her best to start conversations with them.

Looking at her initial interaction with Asa, she is very empathetic and open to helping people. Right as Asa left the group, she quickly followed and asked her if there was anything wrong. Once she saw Asa’s tarnished shoes, she offered her own pair to the shoeless group mate.

Yuko appears in chapter 99 as one of Asa Mitaka’s assigned group mates for the Devil Hunter club.
