Garena has officially confirmed that the Arena of Valor International Championship will return with matches starting on November 19.
Using the phrase “Let Victory Make History” as this year’s theme, AIC 2020 looks back and nods to the honor historical moments from its previous runs, from epic rivalries to lifting the coveted championship trophy.
Bringing together the top teams from regions such as Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, and China, AIC 2020 promises to start a new page where these teams can write their names and make history again in the Arena of Valor esports scene.

Due to the complicated and unpredictable COVID-19 pandemic, Tencent Games and Garena decided to hold the tournament in a completely online format to limit exposure as well as to ensure the safety of teams, staff, and the viewers.
Aside from a bigger prize pool, this year’s AIC will introduce 1v1 tournaments so fans better keep their eyes peeled on this new format!
Teams that have qualified from different regions will compete for a prize pool of US$500,000, which is the highest-ever prize pool for a mobile MOBA tournament according to the Arena of Valor Facebook page. The champion will bag US$200,000 while the first runner up will go home with US$110,000.
AIC 2020 will officially commence its Group Stage from November 19 to November 29, and will close with the grand finals on December 20.
Vietnamese squad Team Flash took the AIC championship last year, defeating Thai favorites Buriram United Esports.
The best-of-seven series ended with a 4-1 standing, with Team Flash midlaner Trần “XB” Xuân Bách winning the finals MVP trophy.
