Before we get into the rewards, let’s go over the ranks in Modern Warfare 2.

Ranging from Bronze to Iridescent, the ranks span from 0 skill rating (SR) all the way up to 10,000+ SR according to the Call of Duty team.

Players will engage in placement matches the first time they jump into ranked play, however, every season thereafter they will simply be knocked down on tier to start.

These are the ranks and their ranges:

  • Bronze – 0-899 SR
  • Silver – 900-2,099 SR
  • Gold – 2,100-3,599 SR
  • Platinum – 3,600-5,399 SR
  • Diamond – 5,400-7,499 SR
  • Crimson – 7,500-9,999 SR
  • Iridescent – 10,000 SR+

With that out of the way, now it’s time to talk about the rewards you get along the way. Most are simply capped at reaching each tier (bronze, silver, etc.), but there are some special cases.

For instance, reaching the top 250 at any point during the ranked season will earn you a special competitor operator skin, an emblem, a weapon charm, and a calling card.
