The New York Subliners have their eyes set on the future. One of the first five franchised teams to join the Call of Duty League, the NYXL-owned (formerly known as Andbox) team is here to build a legacy.
NYSL stormed into the 2022 CDL season with a roster that was armed to teeth. Featuring legends like Ian “Crimsix” Porter and James “Clayster” Eubanks, both three-time world champions, NYSL is fueled by a drive to succeed that’s unlike any other team in the league.
However, it takes time to find the winning formula. After a hot start to the pre-season CDL 2022 Kickoff Classic, the team has languished near the bottom of the table. In a new YouTube video series, the team takes fans behind the scenes for a look at what it takes to climb back to the top.

The New York Subliners are here to win
For Crimsix, this season feels personal. Even as the winningest player in Call of Duty history with 37 Major tournament wins and three championship rings, being dropped from the Dallas Empire (now OpTic Texas) in the aftermath of the Call of Duty Championship 2021 still hit him hard.
“I got dropped the Sunday night of champs. I just felt so backstabbed by that,” he said. Now, the 28-year-old is on a mission to get his revenge this year and prove the many naysayers wrong.
Behind the veteran player stand three talented young guns: Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez, Travis “Neptune” McCloud, and Paul “PaulEhx” Avila. PaulEhx replaced Clayster in late March, stepping into the Flex position while Crimsix took on the responsibilities of main AR.
Since the addition of PaulEhx, 19-year-old phenom Neptune has thrived, finally becoming the killing machine he was always intended to be.
NYSL look like a brand new team, and after the rocky start to the 2022 season, things can only go up from here.
