The Owen Gun is a submachine gun that is perfect for Rebirth Island’s close-range meta. TrueGameData’s best Owen Gun class setup for Rebirth Island is built to maximize the amount of damage per magazine, so you can take out more than one opponent in a single clip.
This loadout builds on the weapon’s inherently high mobility and a quick rate of fire, allowing you to close the distance with enemies easily or maneuver out of a tight situation. Deadly in close encounters, it is best paired with a longer-range assault rifle like the Vargo 52.
It also ranks among the quickest time-to-kill (TTK) in the game, which should give you an edge in most close-quarter engagements.

Overall, this loadout has fairly low recoil, according to TrueGameData, which makes it very easy to use and control. But instead of the more popular Slate Reflector optic, TrueGameData opted for the M38/Slate 2.5x Custom sight, which helps with recoil control.
However, the main reason for this choice is really the improved sight picture. The regular red dot sight improves ADS speed, but it moves the top-loading magazine into view, so your view isn’t as clean.
Elsewhere, the Recoil Booster, Hockenson 142mm Rapid barrel, and Fabric Grip increase the fire rate of the weapon so you can take down enemies faster. The Removed Stock attachment improves overall mobility, including increased movement, sprint to fire, and ADS speed.
The 7.62 Gorenko 72 Round Drums greatly increases the size of each magazine, allowing you to potentially take out entire squads in a single clip. The bigger magazine is also more forgiving in case you don’t land all your shots.
To keep the recoil in check, you should also equip the M1941 Hand Stop underbarrel.
The final pieces of this build are the Acrobatic and Quick weapon perks. Acrobatic reduces the aim penalty when entering or exiting a prone state, while Quick boosts your sprint speed.
