Call of Duty Warzone Pacific is just hours away from its second season, and many new changes are on the horizon for Operators in Caldera.
On top of new additions like roaming armored transport trucks that attack players and bomber planes, Warzone Pacific Season 2 will feature a new mechanic called “Nebula V”, a weaponized version of the game’s signature poisonous gas.
Nebula V gas in Warzone Pacific Season 2 explained
In Warzone Pacific Season 2, Nebula V is a deadly chemical weapon that can shake up strategic firefights and zone plays.
With the gas cloud now modified into various items and ammunition, players can deploy its effects in a targeted manner against enemy players and squads.
Nebula V Ammo
First up is the Nebula V Ammo field upgrade. While it deals the same amount of damage as regular bullets, this noxious ammunition will emit a lingering poisonous gas cloud around any operator it takes down.
This means that reviving a fallen teammate will now be more difficult. Anyone who gets close to the downed player will be exposed to this poisonous cloud and experience the same complications as they would from circle collapses, such as coughing, blurred vision, and slight damage over time either to their health or gas mask.
Nebula V Ammo applies to only a single clip of ammunition, but it could prove a gamechanger in team fights that take place in tight, enclosed spaces.
Nebula V Bomb
For a bigger bang, Warzone is also adding the Nebula V Bomb, a locked briefcase filled with deadly gas and an explosive charge. One of the rarest items in Warzone, it makes for an exceedingly powerful area denial tool.
Once activated and placed down by an Operator, the briefcase will detonate after a fixed countdown and cannot be disarmed or destroyed by opponents. The briefcase’s initial explosion will deal a large amount of damage in a small radius, making it the perfect tool for flushing out squads in buildings.
After the initial explosion, the gas will continue to spread outward and deal damage to anyone without a gas mask for two minutes.
Where to find Nebula V items in Caldera
While these new powerful items are quite a rare find in Caldera, Activision has dropped players a few hints on where they can stock up.
If you’re looking to get your own stash of Nebula V Ammo, you can scavenge around the underground chemical weapons research labs, marked by hand-drawn yellow circles on your Tac Map.
Another go-to point of interest for Nebula equipment is the new Chemical Factory that sits between the Mines and Docks. It is now crawling with Axis soldiers around its perimeter, but you can sneak or fight your way through the Factory for a chance at more valuable loot.
The Axis has also deployed armored transport trucks that follow a set looping path around Caldera. Though they’re heavily fortified with two machine guns, there’s a slight chance that these trucks will drop the Nebula V Bomb once destroyed.

How to counter the toxic gas in Call of Duty Warzone
To balance out the additional sources of toxic gas, operators can now make use of the latest Portable Decontamination Station field equipment to disperse the gas.
Similar to the gas mask, the PDS is a portable device that filters air for several seconds, protecting anyone from all types of gas damage.
While this item looks to radically change how squads rotate during circle collapses, there are a few caveats in place so squads with a PDS don’t have an outsized advantage. All active PDS equipment will be visible on the Tac Map, and can be destroyed by explosives or ballistics, so it’s important to have a look around before setting these stations down.
