Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 is upon us, and that means it’s time to revisit the best loadouts and make some adjustments.
Luckily for us, that’s exactly what Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal did in a recent YouTube video. The popular creator went over the new five best loadouts to use in the Season 3 meta, and we’re going to share them with you.
The meta in Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 sees new contenders
When jumping into Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, there are tons of options. Regardless of the number of weapons at your disposal, there are a select few that rise to the top as the meta weapons each season.
Below, you’ll find WhosImmortal’s list of the top five best meta weapons in the new season of MW2.
5. Chimera loadout
First up on the list is the Chimera. WhosImmortal refers to the Chimera as versatile, but says it thrives in the “sniper support, close and mid-range kind of area.” If that’s what you’re looking for, give this loadout a try.

4. M4 loadout
Next up is “another super reliable choice,” the M4. He describes the M4 as reliable, good, and consistent. If you’re looking for just an all-around strong weapon, this M4 loadout will be what you’re looking for.

3. Cronen Squall loadout
The newest weapon making an appearance, the Cronen Squall launched with the Season 3 update and is already getting plenty of attention.
WhosImmortal prefers it as a true battle rifle, keeping it in semi-automatic mode, but you’re free to try it as you wish.

2. TAQ 56 loadout
Still near the top of the list, the TAQ 56 loadout for Season 3 makes the gun as deadly as ever.
“It’s low recoil, it’s easy to use,” says WhosImmortal.
The headshot damage got a nerf in the update, but the weapon itself is still worth using.

1. Kastov 74u loadout
Topping the list is the Kastov 74u. WhosImmortal considers the 74u to be the “number one gun in multiplayer,” hence its placement on the list.
The assault rifle “has the mobility of an SMG” while being strong in the mid-range as well. The “best of all worlds” as he says.
