Gaming hardware company Razer has put its manufacturing expertise to good use in helping to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by creating the first fully-automated facemask production line in Singapore.
Razer CEO Tan Min-Liang posted about the development on his Instagram account, where he shared a photo of the production line.
The production line was set up and fully operational after just 24 days, and can create 5 million masks per month — more if required. The masks will be certified for both domestic and international standards to allow shipments of the product to other countries.
The face mask production line isn’t the only thing that Razer has been doing to fight the spread of the coronavirus. The gaming company recently sent a shipment of masks to the Philippines after an urgent request made by Alan Cayetano, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines.
