Former Alliance players Adrian “Fata” Trinks and Neta “33” Shapira have returned from a break from competitive play to lead a new European squad called mudgolems.
Fata and 33 will be joined by Oliver “skiter” Lepko, Duško “BoraNija” Boranijaševic, and Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara.
Skiter last played for North American squad CR4ZY, with whom he parted ways in June. BoraNija last played for the EU/CIS stack Agressive Mode along with skiter before it disbanded in February. Meanwhile, MiLAN last played for the Chicken Fighters squad before leaving in March.
Fata and 33 notably formed what would become Alliance’s roster — along with Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov, Linus “Limmp” Blomdin, and Simon “Handsken” Haag — after the pair left Ninjas in Pyjamas following the conclusion of The International 2019. Alliance picked up the Fata-led stack in October last year after their former roster suddenly departed for Team Liquid in September.
Despite good results in the early parts of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, Alliance suddenly parted ways with Fata and 33 at the end of March to make way for the return of founding member Gustav “s4” Magnusson in April.
“This came as quite a surprise to me and I feel pretty disappointed, since we created the team together. I’m trying to remain positive, since bitterness helps nobody. I will use the time to take a break from the game, working on myself and resetting from Dota a bit. Afterwards, Neta and I will look to rebuild a team with fresh energy and ambitions,” Fata said in a statement following their departure from Alliance.
Fata and 33 now return to competitive play to form the veteran core of the mudgolems squad alongside MiLAN to lead up-and-coming players in skiter and BoraNija.
They will be making their debut in the BTS Pro Series EU/CIS league, which is set to run from September 12 to 27, alongside other tier two teams from the two regions.
