Former Business Associates players Jacky “EternalEnvy” Mao, Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu, and Braxton “Brax” Paulson have reformed as Team Zero following the apparent disbandment of their former squad.
Business Associates disbanded after team captain Clinton “Fear” Loomis’ announced earlier this week that he will be taking a break from competitive play until the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) returns next year.
Business Associates, like many Dota teams from the Americas, has been hit hard by the indefinite suspension of the DPC. The team notably parted ways with Peruvian Position 4 support player Joel Mori “MoOz” Ozambela and German midlaner Leon “Nine” Kirilin in late April.
MoOz returned to South America to become the coach for Beastcoast while Nine took a break from competitive play. EternalEnvy and Sneyking have since taken their spots in the roster before the team ultimately disbanded.
With Fear taking a break from competitive play and three of their players departing to form another team, David “Moo” Hull is the only player left on the Business Associates roster. He is expected to either join another team or take a break himself.
The Team Zero roster will be rounded out by Eric “Ryoya” Dong and Theeban “1437” Siva.
Ryoya last played for Geek Fam at the end of last year before becoming a stand-in midlaner for Evil Geniuses once the scene shifted to online competition. Meanwhile, 1437 last played for the J.Storm roster that eventually became Business Associates before taking a break from competitive play in September 2019.
Team Zero is currently playing at BTS Pro Series: Americas Season 3.
