As one of the top teams in South East Asia, Reality Rift received a direct invite from ONE Esports to the Malaysia Regional Qualifiers for the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational.
We caught up with head coach, Binh “Mikadzan” Nguyen, to see how the team feels about this weekend’s tournament.
“We’re very familiar with the other three teams as we’ve played scrims against all of them countless times,” said Mikadzan. “But personally I’m looking forward to playing against 496 Gaming because games against them are always tough because they’re very unpredictable.”

As for how Reality Rift is preparing, Mikadzan said, “We’re taking this tournament quite seriously, especially after we missed out on the LA Major and Kyiv Minor. Also, quite a few of us attended the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational as attendees and we were awed, so we really want to qualify for Jakarta.”
The winner of the Malaysia Regional Qualifier will earn a spot at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational, taking place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition on April 18-19.
“If we make it to Jakarta, we really want to play against Fnatic. Even though we’re in the same region, we’ve never had a chance to play against them,” said Mikadzan.
