Michał “Nisha” Jankowski is Team Liquid’s newest player, after spending more than half of his professional career on one team.

The former Team Secret core player shocked the Dota 2 scene when he announced his departure from Team Secret after four years, during which he helped forge one of Europe’s — and the world’s — most dominant teams.

This is but the latest high-profile acquisition for Liquid from Team Secret. Despite beating his new team in the lower bracket finals at The International 11, the 22-year-old is following in his former teammates’ footsteps, joining Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen and Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg in moving to Liquid.

In the video announcement, the Polish star said that his main desire for moving on from Secret was a desire to “try a new team.”

“I left Team Secret mostly because I wanted to try something new. Even though we changed three players during the season, it still wasn’t enough, I think,” Nisha said.

On why the 22-year-old chose Liquid, he praised the long-standing esports organization.

“I feel like I’ll be comfortable,” the midlaner said. “It seemed like it’s probably the top org in the world.”

“I think in this team, I will thrive a little bit more.”
