With both teams fighting to stay out of last place (and elimination), Chaos Esports Club and Keen Gaming had everything to play for. Unfortunately for Chaos, they got off to the worst start possible, going 3,000 gold down in less than 10 minutes.
Keen Gaming’s offlaner Ren “eLeVeN” Yangwei’s Abaddon dominated the top lane, forcing Chaos carry Cheng “vtFαded” Jia Hao’s Phantom Lancer out of lane early.
Hope, however, came in the form of TI winner Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen’s Ember Spirit, who managed to get a double kill on the bottom lane.
Chaos slowly clawed its way back into the game, but continued to take bad fights. While vtFaded managed to top the networth charts at one point, Keen Gaming continued to press their advantage, taking key fights like the one below that sealed the game for Chaos.
Chaos had a much better start in game two, with both squads opting for a slower, farm-based approach.
That resulted in just seven kills combined from both teams at the 13-minute mark. That, however, changed as Keen Gaming got four kills as Chaos took a bad fight at the KG’s shrine which resulted in an eventual 4,000 gold lead for Keen at the 15-minute mark.
Chaos started floundering, and it wasn’t long before Keen Gaming showed up in force to team wipe Chaos.
With that, Chaos had no answers and continued losing fight after fight. The match was pretty much over by then, but Chaos tried to hold on, but Keen Gaming decisively finished the game by taking out the barracks and ending the game with a 30-8 kill score.
