With the top spot of Group A at The International 2019 Group Stage on the line, PSG.LGD went all out in the first game to school Team Secret.
Despite a strong performance in the first two days, Secret drafted a mid Pudge for Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng, which didn’t work out with a 0/10/8 score at the end of the game.
Secret had no answer for PSG.LGD’s Wang “Ame” Chunyu’s Faceless Void who ended the game with a 10/2/11 score.
To put it simply, it was a disaster for Secret.
Game two started off with more serious picks from Team Secret this time. Drafting Kunkka, Jakiro, and Spectre, the line up looked good to go against the Faceless Void, Tiny and Magnus picks of PSG.LGD.
Secret’s Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg’s Axe tried to go for the Dire jungle camps under the nose of Ame’s Faceless Void but ended up paying for it with his life along with Secret’s Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat’s support Invoker.
An early drawn-out team fight at the 10-minute mark also saw an even trade between both teams.
While Secret managed to get some great fights, PSG.LGD wasn’t taking it lying down, and got a few wins of their own.
Ame’s Faceless Void continued to grow from strength to strength, and paired with Magnus’ Empower, was able to dictate the pace of the game despite the efforts of Secret’s Michał “Nisha“ Jankowski’s Spectre.
With Secret playing from behind, they tried to make some plays, including “snatching” the Aegis from PSG.LGD, but it just wasn’t enough against Ame’s unstoppable Faceless Void. In the end, Secret called GG at the 37-minute mark.
