Gamers Without Borders have announced that they will be hosting a 50-team Fortnite: Battle Royale charity tournament from May 19-21 with a US$2 million prize pool that will be donated to coronavirus relief charity foundations.
The event will feature 40 two-man teams from Europe and 10 more from the Middle East and Africa competing in six daily matches throughout the three-day competition.
The first two days will each have US$500,000 at stake, with the first-placed teams of each day earning the right to donate US$150,000 to their charity of choice. The final day will have US$300,000 up for grabs, with the winning duo earning US$300,000 for their charity of choice.

Gamers Without Borders’ charity Fortnite tournament will be the fourth event in the organization’s US$10 million International Elite initiative, which aims to help raise awareness for coronavirus relief charity foundations around the world.
Gamers Without Borders’ International Elite charity initiative’s previous installment was an eight-team Dota 2 tournament, which was won by European top dogs Team Secret. The initiative notably started with competitions in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Rainbow Six: Siege.
The initiative will be holding three more weekend competitions in other titles until its expected completion date on June 7.
