If you’re already getting tired of the same old single-player games this quarantine season, Nintendo’s got something for you.
The gaming company has finally updated its party game title Super Mario Party to be more playable and enjoyable online. The multiplayer game modes Board Game and Partner Party can now be played online with friends as long as you own a copy of the game too, of course. You will also need a subscription to the paid service Nintendo Switch Online to play over the internet.
When you play Super Mario Party’s Board Game, all 20 characters and maps will be available regardless of the players’ current in-game process.

This free update has also made almost all of Super Mario Party’s mini-games available. The following are not supported by online play:
- Strike It Rich
- Time to Shine
- Take a Stab
- All-Star Swingers
- Rhythm and Bruise
- Pep Rally
- Wiped Out
- Fiddler on the Hoof
- Clearing the Table
- Baton and On
This Super Mario update opens a new line of recreational activities that gamers can play either through Zoom, Discord, or any other video conference programs.
Previously, only the Online Mariothon game mode was playable over the internet with only ten games available out of its 80 mini-game titles.
