Updated on September 9, 2022, 3:16 p.m. (GMT+8): Riot Games, in partnership with Tiffany and Co., has redesigned the Summoner’s Cup.

An esports victory isn’t complete without the championship trophy lifted into the air. We’ve seen many esports trophies throughout the years, but there are a special few that really stand out.

Here are five of the most unique esports trophies that make that winning moment even more memorable.

The most unique esports trophies in the world

  • Wild Rift’s SEA Icon Series Vietnam’s gauntlet
  • Valorant: First Strike’s trophy
  • League of Legends Summoner’s Cup
  • The International’s Aegis of Champions
  • ONE Esports championship belt

Move over, Infinity Gauntlet. The trophy of the League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Vietnam is actually based on Ezreal’s gauntlet, which marked the very first official Wild Rift Summer Season.

Designed and made in Vietnam, the Wild Rift trophy is now at home in the bootcamp of SEA Icon Series Vietnam champions SBTC Esports. And yes, it is a life-size one too!

The first Valorant esports trophy is a beautifully designed flame, symbolic of the explosion of popularity Valorant has enjoyed.

The Valorant trophy was designed by Nicholas Fair, who also designed the trophies for the LCS, the Call of Duty League, and the Arena of Valor World Cup.

The first Valorant champions all over the world got to take home this special trophy, including 100 Thieves, Team Heretics, and Vision Strikers.

The Summoner’s Cup has been the symbol of the League of Legends World Championship since 2012. It’s considered one of the biggest and heaviest esports trophies in the world, weighing about 70 pounds.

League of Legends’ signature trophy was designed by Thomas Lyte, who are expert trophy makers from London, and has even serviced the likes of the Royal Household.

The League of Legends Summoner’s Cup itself is no stranger to the royal treatment. The Cup arrived in a case designed by Louis Vuitton for Worlds in 2019 and 2020.

In August 2022, Riot Games teamed up with luxury jeweler Tiffany and Co. to redesign the Summoner’s Cup and give it a more modern, minimalist look “made of sterling silver, fine silver, stainless steel, brass, and wood” according to Riot Games. With a more ergonomic form, the redesigned cup features five handles, one for each winning player to take hold and lift.

“The new Summoner’s Cup was designed to honor that past while celebrating the next chapter of LoL Esports,” the company wrote.

The importance of the Aegis of the Immortal is two-fold in Dota 2.

In-game, the Aegis of the Immortal revives a hero and completely restores their health and mana. Its esports version, the Aegis of Champions, is one of the most coveted esports trophies in the world, for it is also a trophy for Dota 2’s The International.

The Aegis was crafted out of bronze and silver by New Zealand production house Weta Workshop, better known for their work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy. One Aegis to rule them all!

The ONE Championship trophy isn’t your typical trophy. Designed by Muhammad Shakir, creative designer of ONE Championship, it stays true to its mixed martial arts roots and takes the form of a championship belt.

ONE Esports CEO Carlos Alimurung says that the belt is fitting, as “the same qualities it takes to be a champion in physical sports are the same qualities it requires to be a champion in esports.”

Invictus Gaming became the most recent keepers of the belt, after winning the Dota 2 Singapore Major in 2021.
