Popular esports shooter Gears of War will be working with long-time tabletop games maker Steamforged Games to produce an all-new Gears trading card game.
Tentatively set for release in either fall or winter this year, Gears of War: The Card Game, will adopt story-driven campaigns. Like the video game, it will feature two main factions — the Coalition of Ordered Governments and the Locust Horde.

Luck of the draw is one of the main features of Gears TGC’s distinctive game design, as actions and results from a previous game will determine what cards you can play in the next. Every step taken will have serious consequences on how the fight plays out.
Behind the game’s engine is Tyler Bielman, a veteran game designer for Magic: The Gathering.
