Ardiis carries G2 Esports to the Vitality European Open title
G2 Esports has cemented its place as the best Valorant squad in Europe by winning another Ignition Series tournament in the Vitality European Open.
G2 dominated the competition leading up to the grand final, and were awarded the first game in their best-of-three series against Prodigy thanks to their Upper Bracket advantage.
While Prodigy were able to tie up the score by taking Haven 13-7, G2 bounced back in games three and four, winning Ascent 13-4, and Split 13-8.
Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks was the standout player for G2, posting a combined 62/33/19 KDA in the grand final.
Team Tempest wins the Valorant SEA Invitational
Taiwanese squad, Team Tempest, has won the Valorant SEA Invitational defeating Thai team, Team Titanium, 2-0 in the grand final.
Game one took place on Haven, with Team Tempest immediately asserting their dominance by racing out to a commanding 11-1 lead. While Titanium fared better after switching to defense, Tempest were able to finish them off with a 13-6 final score.
Game two took place on Split, and once again saw Team Tempest lead from the start. Some late-game heroics from former Overwatch League pro, Pongphop “MickiePP“ Rattanasangchod, saw Titanium string together enough rounds to almost pull level at 8-9. However, Tempest were able to raise their game, taking the last four rounds in a row to close out the match 13-8.
Aghanim’s Labyrinth is Dota 2’s newest game mode
Valve has released a new Summer Event game mode called Aghanim’s Labyrinth.
The new mode features the mighty Aghanim, the Apex Mage, creator of the Aghanim’s Scepter, and father to Rubick.
Team up with three friends or matchmake to form a party of four to take on the labyrinth in a dungeon-crawling PVE experience as you make your way through rooms full of enemies until you meet the final boss, the mighty Aghanim himself.
Each week a global weekly leaderboard will award players with the fastest completion times unique prizes, including the Aghanim’s Interdimensional Baby Roshan’ courier, the Waterlogged Shoes’ cosmetic item for Kunkka, and random Arcanas.
