BOOM Esports win the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational Indonesia Regional Qualifier
Indonesia’s BOOM Esports looked absolutely dominant at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational Indonesia Regional Qualifier, going undefeated throughout the weekend with 2-0’s over Tyrants Uprising in the Semifinals, and Team Oracle in both the Upper Bracket Final and Grand Final.
BOOM’s Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman had a fantastic weekend, and looked nigh-unstoppable in the Grand Final, first on Templar Assassin, where he racked up a 9/1/4 KDA, and then on Void Spirit where he went 7/1/15, leading his team to two quick victories.
BOOM has now qualified for the ONE Esports Dota 2 Indonesia Invitational, which will take place this November.
Echo is Overwatch’s newest hero
Blizzard has revealed Echo as the 32nd hero to join the Overwatch roster. The A.I. omnic is a creation of Dr. Mina Liao, one of the founding members of Overwatch.
Echo is a Damage Hero with an array of devastating abilities. Her main attack is a tri-shot projectile with no drop or damage falloff. She can also throw explosive Sticky Bombs, and can channel a beam of death that deals 200 damage per second to any hero or barrier under 50% health.
If that’s not enough, she can also fly and glide through the air.
Her ultimate lets her transform into any member of the opposing team, gaining all of their abilities as well as health and armor for 15 seconds. While transformed, she has 650% faster ult charge, which lets her use her stolen ult multiple times.
Fortnite introduces helicopters and a 40-player deathmatch
Fortnite patch 12.20 has added helicopters to the game. The helicopter fits up to four players, making it perfect for Squad mode.
The patch also introduced a new limited-time event called Operation: Dropzone.
The mode is a 40-player deathmatch mode with 20 players on each side. Players will join either team Shadow or Ghost, and will fight it out on a small part of the map as they race to reach 150 eliminations.
Invictus Gaming end an insane series against Rogue Warriors with an unbelievable backdoor
Invictus Gaming’s clash against Rogue Warriors in Week 5 of the LPL featured non-stop action through all three games, with 148 total kills in the series.
To cap off the series, game three ended in unbelievable fashion when iG managed to use Su “Southwind” Zhi-Lin’s Tahm Kench Abyssal Voyage to send Ding “Puff” Wang into the back of RW’s base to finish off the Nexus.
