T1 wins the Valorant Twitch Rivals NA Launch Tournament
T1 has cemented its place as the best team in pro Valorant by winning the stacked Twitch Rivals Valorant North American launch tournament, defeating TSM in the Grand Final.
It was a hard-fought series, but T1 managed to clutch out the grand final with a 2-1 score.
T1 closed out game one with a comfortable 13-7 score, which included a clutch 1v5 Ace by Braxton “brax” Pierce in round 6.
TSM recovered in game two, taking it 13-6, sending the series to a final game three.
Game three was much closer, but with the score at 12-10, and T1 at matchpoint, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham stepped up and took out two members of TSM by himself, planted the Spike with just 1 hp remaining, and then closed out the game by cleaning up the last member of TSM.
Secret sweep Alliance in the ESL One Birmingham EU/CIS grand final
Team Secret has defeated Alliance, 3-0, in the grand final of the ESL One Birmingham Online EU/CIS league.
The win extends Secret’s championship streak to four-straight tournament wins, which started with three resounding victories last month at the WePlay! Pushka League Season 1, the Gamers Without Borders charity tournament, and OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS.
Secret came out swinging and easily took game one, which ended with a lopsided 31-4 kill score in just 30 minutes.
Secret outdrafted Alliance in game two by sneaking a last-pick Meepo for Michal “Nisha” Jankowski to partner with Lasse “Matumbaman” Upralainen’s Luna. In the quickest game of the series, Nisha and Matumbaman combined for 20 kills against just one death apiece to give Secret a commanding 2-0 series lead.
While game three was much closer, Secret still managed to close it out in 41 minutes off the back of a series-high 19 kills against just two deaths for Matumbaman.
Neon Esports qualifies for the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League
Filipino Dota 2 squad, Neon Esports, has defeated Thailand’s Motivate.Trust Gaming, 2-1, in the grand final of the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League qualifier.
MG.Trust took an early series lead but Neon Esports tied it up in game two.
The deciding game three went back and forth with Neon grabbing the early lead, but MG.Trust fought back in the mid-game. However, late in the game, a crucial mistake from MG.Trust saw them take a team fight without having enough gold for their core heroes to buy back.
As a result, Neon were able to take down MG.Trust’s Barracks and claimed mega creeps, giving Neon the advantage they needed to end the series.
Neon Esports will now join Team Adroit, Boom Esports, Fnatic, Geek Fam, Reality Rift, T1, TNC Predator, NEW Esports, and Execration in the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League, which kicks off on June 18.
Sony finally reveals the PlayStation 5
Sony has finally revealed the PlayStation 5 and it looks very different from its previous consoles.
The PS5 has a new futuristic look with a primarily white and black design with blue accent lighting.
Sony also revealed that the console will come in two variants — a standard edition with a disc drive, and a digital edition for those who prefer the download route.
Sony hasn’t revealed any pricing yet, but did confirm that the console is still on track to release at the end of the year.
