Vici Gaming wins OGA Dota Pit Online: China
Chinese powerhouse, Vici Gaming, has won the OGA Dota Pit 2020 Online: China tournament defeating regional rival, PSG.LGD, 3-1 in the grand final thanks to some stellar play from Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun.
Eurus impressed in all four games, but a standout game three saw him finish with a perfect 10/0/6 KDA as VG steamrolled PSG.LGD. In game four, he also made a game-winning play when his Slark was able to put a stop to PSG.LGD’s Somnus`M’s Mega Kill streak on Templar Assassin with a beautiful stunlock.
Team Secret wins the WePlay! Pushka League
Team Secret has defeated VP.Prodigy, 3-0, in the WePlay! Pushka League final, taking home the US$70,000 grand prize.
Secret showed no fear going into the final, opting for a highly unusual support Sniper pick for Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat in game one. The pick paid off however as Secret easily won the laning phase and put themselves in the driver’s seat right from the start. While VP.P put up a brave fight, they were ultimately outmatched as Secret closed out game one with a decisive team wipe at the 45-minute mark.
YapzOr’s Sniper ended the game with an incredible 6/2/23 KDA.
After their crushing defeat in game one, VP.P were unable to mount any resistance in the remaining games as Secret easily cruised to victory, taking game two in just 17 minutes, and game three in 27 minutes.
EVOS SG and Team Bosskurr qualify for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational
EVOS SG and Team Bosskurr have qualified for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational, winning their respective online country qualifiers with EVOS defeating DVT Esports in the Singapore final, and Team Bosskurr besting Todak in the Malaysia final.
EVOS SG’s experience saw them past a talented but raw DVT Esports squad in the Singapore final, winning 3-1 by capitalizing on their opponents’ mistakes and focusing on smart objective-based play and map control.
Meanwhile, in the Malaysia final, the two veteran MPL squads were evenly matched throughout the series, but an incredible game-changing ambush from Bosskurr’s Syno late in game four let his team steal the game and close out the series with a 3-1 score.
ScreaM’s all-star Prodigy team dominates the Fnatic Valorant Open
Team Prodigy, led by legendary CS:GO pro, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, has won the Fnatic Proving Grounds: Valorant Open tournament.
The stacked roster, which boasts some of the biggest names in competitive FPS esports, won all six of their games, including a 2-0 over 2G4L, an all-star team of Finnish CS:GO pro players in the Grand Final.
Along with ScreaM, Team Prodigy includes CS:GO pros, Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas and William “mezii” Merriman, Rainbow Six Siege star, Stéphane “Shaiiko” Lebleu, and Overwatch streamer and ex-Overwatch League pro, Daniel “dafran” Franchesca.
