The 31st Southeast Asian Games (31st SEA Games) has concluded, with host country Vietnam racking up the most number of gold medals in esports.
Out of 10 events in the tournament, Vietnam secured four gold medals and three silver medals, putting them on top of the medal tally, followed by Thailand and Indonesia, two countries that earned two gold medals apiece, and six medals in total.

Vietnam flourishes on home court in esports at the 31st SEA Games
PC titles such as Dota 2, Starcraft II, as well as Hearthstone and Tekken 7 were not included this year, and were replaced by FIFA Online 4, and mobile titles PUBG: Mobile, CrossFire, Free Fire, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
The host country won gold medals in multiple mobile titles such as League of Legends: Wild Rift (Men), League of Legends, PUBG Mobile (Solo), and CrossFire. Indonesia is next in the standing, winning gold medals in Free Fire and PUBG Mobile (Team).
Thailand finished third in the medal tally standings after winning gold in FIFA Online 4 and Arena of Valor.
The Philippines defended their gold medal in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and won in the women’s division of League of Legends: Wild Rift.
