Fans of racing simulator, Project CARS, have one more thing to look forward to this summer as the latest installment — Project CARS 3 — is set to launch in a month or so.
The developers, Slightly Mad Studio, along with its publisher, Bandai Namco Entertainment, confirmed their plans for the real racing simulator earlier this month.
It will feature more than 200 road and race cars, over 140 global circuits, and updated features that the game is famous for. This includes more realistic crash and car-contact effects, 24-hour day cycles, four seasons with all sorts of weather thrown in, and improved controller experience.
As for new content, the developers have added the following:
- An all-new Career Mode that promises an engaging and challenging time for players
- A personal garage that will store all machinery and upgrade kits for the cars
- Customization options for cars, including wheels, rims, and body modifications
- Creating and growing a racing hero persona
- New First Time User Experience Mode that will focus on pure racing
“While realism and authenticity continue to be at the core of the franchise, we’ve added a host of new options to ensure that Project CARS 3 is also the most accessible game in the franchise’s history. We really couldn’t be more excited to show off our new Project CARS game to both fans of the franchise and those who are ready to experience racing [sims] at its very best,” said Ian Bell, Founder and CEO, Slightly Mad Studios.
Project CARS 3 is set to launch on Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, and PC via Steam in Summer 2020. For more details, head on over to the Project CARS website.
