Looking for a new sim racing series to feed your craving for speed thrills? Munich-based Virtual Competition Organisation (VCO) has launched its all-new ProSIM Series that partners real-world motorsport stars — both active and retired — with professional esports drivers.
The competition, which held its draft on November 6 and held its first two rounds of action on November 18 and 25, is scheduled to run until the end of March 2021. The race calendar will feature a total of eight events by the time it wraps up.
A total of 44 teams with two drivers each are participating in the competition, which is based on the iRacing sim platform. All drivers are assigned identical Dallara Formula 3 cars.
Current Formula 1 racers Max Verstappen and Romain Grosjean, as well as former stars Rubens Barrichello and Timo Glock are among the professional racers featured in the tournament. Joining them are pros from other high-profile motorsport events like António Félix da Costa (Formula E), Charlie Martin (Le Mans World Endurance Championship), and Tony Kanaan (IndyCar).

Up for grabs is a grand prize worth US$50,000. To make things more interesting, drivers find out what circuit they’re racing on just two hours before each event’s flag-off. Fans of the series can help decide what circuit will be used in upcoming events by voting on Twitter.

- Round 3: December 17, 2020, 1:00 a.m. GMT+8
- Round 4: January 3, 2021, 1:00 a.m. GMT+8
- Round 5: January 21, 2021, 1:00 a.m. GMT+8
- Round 6: February 11, 2021, 1:00 a.m. GMT+8
- Round 7: March 4, 2021, 1:00 a.m. GMT+8
- Round 8: April 1, 2021, 1:00 a.m. GMT+8
