The nations and places in miHoYo’s open-world RPG Genshin Impact are based on real life locations. Mondstadt’s Dragonspine, for example, was inspired by the mountain ranges of the Alps in Europe.

To connect the real world and the game’s virtual realm Teyvat, miHoYo is holding a community event, “Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars”. This web event aims to light up a teleport waypoint in the Alps and give players sweet rewards, including free Primogems.

How to participate in the ‘Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars’ Genshin Impact web event

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to participate in the “Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars” Genshin Impact web event:

  1. Visit the “Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars” web event page.
  2. Click on the “Coalescing Starlight” button.
  3. The web event will ask you to create a souvenir card. Enter your nickname, region, and select a Genshin Impact character to be displayed in the souvenir card.
  4. Click “Create Souvenir Card” once you’re done.
  5. You will then be redirected to the rewards page. Click on the “Hang Your Wishes” button.
  6. Enter your wish or message using 50 text characters. Lucky players will have their message hung on the Alps.
  7. Monitor the page and claim the rewards as the number of participants grow bigger in time.

Once the number of participants reaches one million, a special Alps Waypoint Lighting Ceremony will be broadcasted to all players come mid-January.

MiHoYo staff will light up the event’s Teleport Waypoint on the Alps in mid-January which will be streamed live on Genshin Impact’s socials.
