Chinese video game developer HoYoverse is giving away free Primogems to all travelers as compensation for content delays in their open-world RPG Genshin Impact.

The developer previously announced the postponement of the version 2.7 update due to “project progress,” which could be caused by the ongoing zero-Covid policy implemented in multiple cities in China. HoYoverse is based in Shanghai, where all public transportation is suspended, and all non-essential businesses are temporarily closed.

If the period between the version 2.7 update and the previous weekly compensation for the delayed update is less than a week, the final weekly compensation will be adjusted accordingly according to HoYoverse.
