Genshin Impact has a total of 63 playable characters, each with their own unique elements and personalities.
Some of these characters have been paired together by fans and players, who adore their in-game interactions, lore, and quest appearances.
The Traveler twins Aether and Lumine, for example, tend to forge close relationships with certain characters. This includes Aether and Kamisato Ayaka, and Lumine and Tartaglia, as implied from their story quests.

5. The story of Anemo boys Venti and Xiao
Dubbed as XiaoVen by fans, these Genshin Impact boys are strongly connected by the Anemo element.
Xiao, in particular, believes he was saved by the Anemo Archon’s flute playing. He was about to suffer the same fate as his fellow fallen Yakshas (a race of illuminated beasts) when he heard Venti playing the flute, which brought him back to his senses. This was depicted at the end of the Yakshas story teaser.
Additionally, XiaoVen is the only ship that pairs characters from two different nations, Liyue and Mondstadt.
4. The romantic rivalry between Arataki Itto and Kujou Sara
He was a playful boy, she was a dutiful girl — can we make it any more obvious?
Arataki Itto and Kujou Sara’s ship rose to heights during the release of the former’s event wish banner in previous versions, where fans witnessed the pair’s undeniable chemistry, seen written on the Ritou bulletin board.
These two Inazuma characters love to fight each other, as revealed in Arataki Itto’s character story. Kujou Sara has already beaten Itto in two fights, one of which ended in the confiscation of the latter’s Vision. Itto now seeks to have a rematch with Sara one day in a sumo street fight.

3. Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko’s eternal friendship
The Inazuma Archon and the Grand Narukami Shrine’s head priestess share a close relationship, as seen in Act I in Chapter II Archon Quest, The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia. Yae Miko is one of the Raiden Shogun’s remaining friends who is still alive and has withstood the ravages of time.
The two call each other by their first names, Miko and Ei, proving the closeness of their friendship.

2. Zhongli and Ningguang are the ultimate Geo couple
If you strongly believe in Geo supremacy, then this OTP is for you. Zhongli and Ningguang are dubbed as the Geo parents of the element, with Arataki Itto, Albedo, Gorou, Yun Jin, and Noelle as their kids.
While Zhongli and Ningguang have not yet personally interacted with each other in the game, many fans support their ship because of how incredibly good they look together. The two complement each other when it comes to their height, default outfit, and combat abilities.
Cosplay couple Roxanne Kho and Zackt are believers of this ship, evident in their Zhongli and Ningguang cosplay.
1. Meet Klee’s unofficial parents, Jean and Diluc
The Jean-Diluc pairing (JeanLuc) is one of the earliest Genshin Impact ships that fans celebrate. The two have appeared together in Archon Quests, story quests, and event quests. After all, Jean and Diluc used to work together as a part of Mondstadt’s mighty Knights of Favonius.
Jean and Diluc are often teased as the unofficial parents of Klee, Mondstadt’s bomber and Alice’s daughter. Klee shares the same red eyes and Pyro vision as Diluc, and identical shades of blonde hair from Jean.
While the Jean-Diluc ship is not canon, the two have appeared in various Genshin Impact promotional materials such as wallpapers and video advertisements. There are also plenty of Genshin Impact fan art and fan videos starring JeanLuc.
