A new apex predator awaits deep in the Desert of Hadramaveth, the latest expansion of the Great Red Sand.
The Setekh Wenut is a new overworld boss in Genshin Impact version 3.4. The snake-like beast dives in and out of the sand to attack travelers, but these tips will help you slay it with ease.
Here’s everything you need to know about this Hadramaveth boss, including its location and how to unlock it.
How to unlock Setekh Wenut
Make your way east of the Passage of Ghouls in the Desert of Hadrameveth to unlock and challenge Setekh.
It’d be best to access the Statue of the Seven at Tanit Camps to reveal the surrounding area on your overworld wap.
Setekh Wenut location
The boss is located underground inside the Passage of Ghouls. Make sure you unlock the waypoint just south of the boss for easier access.

Best Genshin team composition to defeat and counter Setekh
Like the Ruin Serpent, Setekh’s attacks consist of quick sweeps and dives. Its first sequence locks the beast in place as it attacks nearby travelers in a radial pattern.
After the sweeps, Setekh begins to dive in and out of the sand. As it dives, the mystical beast summons fast projectiles that can kill your on-field character. We suggest that you field a shield unit like Zhongli or Diona for added protection.
Keep in mind that Setekh is vulnerable during its diving sequence. You can utilize ranged DPS units like Ganyu and summoned talents like Fischl’s Oz to get a few hits in while it’s moving.
Setekh’s biggest move is the Windbite Bullets. In this sequence, the giant serpent floats in the air and summons five Anemo orbs that surround him.
Your main goal here is to have two of the orbs react with another element. Your best bet here is a ranged unit’s charged attack. It’s important to stay away from using Geo, Dendro, and Anemo since these elements do not react with the orbs.
Once you’ve shot down the two orbs, Setekh will drop down and be paralyzed for around 10 seconds. The paralyzed phase is your best chance of attacking. With no innate element on Setekh, you can go for the usual Melt and Vaporize combos.
Take note that Setekh does lose 45% of its elemental resistance to the specific element used on the orbs, so ranged Pyro units like Amber and Yoimiya are perfect in this situation.
If you’re not able to react with the bullets in time, a barrage of projectiles will rain down and deal lethal damage.
