The offseason League of Legends roster shuffle is coming to a close. Soon, the 2022 LPL Spring Split will begin, where we will see new faces, returning players, and old friends facing off against each other on opposite sides of the rift.

Formerly known as Rogue Warriors, the organization has rebranded to Anyone’s Legend for the 2022 LPL Spring Split. Former Flash Wolves teammates Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang and Lu “Betty” Yu-Hung reunite on this roster.

After spending a year in retirement to take care of his health, Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao returns to pro play in the 2022 LPL Spring Split with Bilibili Gaming. He shares the role with rising star Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan, formerly from Pacific Championship Series’ (PCS) Beyond Gaming.

They will be supported by 2019 World Champion Liu “Crisp” Qing-Song, who has moved from FunPlus Phoenix.

Former T1 substitute mid laner Kim “Gori” Tae-woo will make his debut in China in the 2022 LPL Spring Split. The only FunPlus Phoenix member that has remained is 2019 World Champion bot laner, Lin “Lwx” Wei-Xiang.

Former Gen.G jungler Kim “Clid” Tae-min of the LCK will also be making his debut in the LPL.

After the departure of Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok and Song “Rookie” Eui-jin, Invictus Gaming had to rebuild.

They promoted three of their academy players, Liu “Xzz” Zhu, Luo “xiaoyueji” Shi-Hao, and Zhao “neny” Zhi-Hao, whom we saw in 2021 LPL Summer Split when he substituted for TheShy.

Switching places, Top Esports’ former top laner Bai “369” Jia-Hao has joined JD Gaming for the 2022 LPL Spring Split, while former JD Gaming top laner Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran went over to TES.

Star jungler Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok has remained, together with mid laner Zeng “Yagao” Qi. Similar to Invictus Gaming, JD Gaming promoted and welcomed new academy players to make up the rest of the roster. Edward Gaming’s substitute bot laner Wang “Hope” Jie has newly joined, and will be on the starting roster.

After topping their Play-In group at the League of Legends 2021 World Championship, LNG Esports failed to make it out of the Group Stage after losing a best-of-one tiebreaker to MAD Lions.

Joining top laner Hu “Ale” Jia-Le, star jungler Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong, bot laner Wang “Light” Guang-Yu, and support Liao “Iwandy” Ding-Yang on LNG Esports for the 2022 LPL Spring Split is 2019 World Champion and former FunPlus Phoenix mid laner Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang, as well as former JD Gaming support Zuo “LvMao” Ming-Hao.

Former Royal Never Give Up’s Chang “Poppy” Po-Hao will also join the team as their new coach.

Headlining the Ninjas in Pyjamas roster is star jungler Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan, previously from Top Esports, and mid laner Song “Rookie” Eui-jin from Invictus Gaming.

They are joined by support Guo “ppgod” Peng, who returns to Victory Five after a stint with Bilibili Gaming, and former substitute Top Esports bot laner, Ying “Photic” Qi-Shen.

Victory Five has merged with Ninjas in Pyjamas, and will rebrand in 2022.

2021 Mid-Season Invitational champions Royal Never Give Up underwent two major changes during the offseason. Since mid laner Yuan “Cryin” Cheng-Wei left for Ultra Prime, Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao is now back in the mid lane.

Filling the spot in the top lane is 2020 World Championship finalist Chen “Bin” Ze-Bin, formerly from Suning.

Team WE

Team WE welcomes new 2022 LPL Spring Split roster

The most notable change in Team WE’s 2022 LPL Spring Split roster is the return of mid laner Su “xiye” Han-Wei, who kickstarted his League of Legends pro career with this organization back in 2013.

Finishing in 7th place in the 2021 LPL Summer Split, Team WE qualified for the playoffs and went on a four series win streak before losing to FunPlus Phoenix 3-0 in the semifinals. In the lower bracket, they were swept again by Edward Gaming, and finished 3rd.

Team WE also lost out on Worlds 2021 after they dropped to LNG Esports 3-1 in the regional qualifiers match.

After spending a year in the LCS with TSM, support and shotcaller Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh is back, reuniting with the roster he led to the 2020 World Championship finals against DAMWON Gaming.
