After overcoming myriad roster changes during the 2022 LCS season, TSM’s League of Legends team, led by head coach Wong “Chawy” Xing Lei, surprised at the 2022 LCS Summer playoffs. They beat FlyQuest in the first round of the lower bracket, before narrowly losing to Evil Geniuses in the second round 3-2.
For the upcoming LCS 2023 season, Chawy has renewed his contract with the org and will continue leading the squad, which has retained three players from the 2022 shuffle: top laner Colin “Solo” Earnest, mid laner Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang, and support Jonathan “Chime” Pomponio.
After parting ways with jungler Mingyi “Spica” Lu, bot laner Edward “Tactical” Ra, and Tony “Instinct” Ng, they have added two new players to take up these roles — Lee “Bugi” Seong-yeop, and Toàn “Neo” Trần — an insider source confirmed with ONE Esports.

TSM roster for LCS 2023 sees two new faces, Neo and Bugi
Solo and Chime were competing in the NA academy league before getting picked up by TSM in Summer. Given starting spots on the roster, they proved themselves during the 2022 LCS Summer playoffs when the organization achieved its best result for the year, finishing in 5th-6th place.
Former Flash Wolves mid laner Maple, who had spent time in the LPL and PCS from 2018 to 2022, will continue competing in the LCS for another season. An experienced veteran, the 25-year-old was brought in just before the start of the Summer season, and had helped improve the mid-jungle synergy with Spica.
South Korean jungler Bugi was also part of Flash Wolves, but had joined only after Maple left in 2019. Since 2020, he went back to the LJL to join V3 for a year before moving over to the LLA. Competing with Estral Esports, they narrowly lost out on Worlds 2022 to Isurus, who defeated them 3-2 in the LLA 2022 Closing Playoffs final.
Finally, bot laner Neo spent the last two years competing with Dignitas and Dignitas Academy. On October 7, he announced on Twitter that he had been given permission to explore options.
