The 2023 League of Legends competitive season has finally begun, following the new Season Kickoff event.
After a busy offseason filled with star transfers and promotions, the LCS Spring 2023 season will see 10 organizations compete for the first LCS title of the year as well as MSI qualification.
LCS powerhouse Team Liquid is set to debut the first all-Korean team in the region, featuring Worlds 2022 champion Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon. 100 Thieves also scored big in the offseason by picking up the legendary duo of Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng.

The official start date of LCS Spring 2023
All shown dates are in GMT+8 and listed one day later than PST.
The Spring 2023 regular season features a double round-robin format with best-of-one matches that last eight weeks from January to March.
The regular season will begin on January 27 and will conclude on March 18. The top six teams of the regular season qualify for the Spring playoffs.
The Spring playoffs will commence on March 24 and run up until April 10, the date of the LCS Spring Final.
With Riot Games’ recent format changes to the Mid-Season Invitational, the top two playoff teams will represent the region at the international event.
