LEC Summer Split 2022: Full roster of every team competing

After showing off what peak European League of Legends looks like during the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2022), the region is getting ready for another battle as the LEC Summer Split 2022 kicks off on June 17.

Teams are competing for the LEC title and Worlds 2022 qualification, where the top three teams automatically secure a slot.

After months of remote play, fans can finally catch the games at the LEC studio in Berlin, Germany to watch matches live. More information about ticket selling and the venue’s COVID-19 rules and restrictions can be viewed here.

To keep up with the latest roster changes, here is the full list of LEC rosters of all 10 teams competing in the Summer Split.

Astralis

After a disappointing Spring run earlier this year which resulted in a 3-15 standing, Astralis is ready to bounce back with the return of Vizicsacsi in the top lane and Xerxe in the jungle. Korean player Lee “JeongHoon” Jeong-hoon is also joining the family as its newest support.

“We have high individual skills on all players with an even higher skill ceiling,” coaches Baltat “AoD” Alin-Ciprian and Bjørn-Vegar “Hansen” Hansen explained in an official statement.

“With the addition of Xerxe and Vizicsacsi, combined with Kobbe, we already have a good atmosphere on the team because of their history together, which spreads to the rest of the group.”

Excel Esports

Excel will begin their Summer run with the same roster they had during Spring.

Fnatic

Fnatic remains to be a force to reckon with in the European league. Coming into the Summer season, no changes have been made on their player roster which comprises Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen, Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz, Marek “Humanoid” Brázda, Elias “Upset” Lipp, and Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov.

G2 Esports

Coming fresh from the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2022), G2 Esports is ready to put their experience to good use at the LEC Summer Split 2022. Prior to their momentous run in Busan, South Korea, G2 swept Rogue 3-0 during the Spring Playoffs with an impressive draft strategy.

MAD Lions

Madrid-based team MAD Lions is looking for redemption heading into the Summer Split. The team almost qualified for the Spring Playoffs, sitting just a few points behind Team Vitality.

With former Fnatic mid laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer completing their roster, the Lions are looking into score another LEC Summer title and raising the championship trophy one more time.

Misfits Gaming

During the offseason, Misfits Premier top laner Joel “Irrelevant” Miro Scharoll was promoted to the LEC roster, while Shin “HiRit” Tae-min was moved to the LFL. However, for personal reasons, the Korean player mutually agreed to part ways with the team to go back to his home country.

Irrelevant will assist the LFL roster in the official matches until the team secures a replacement.

Rogue

Rogue is back, and they’re out to get revenge this season. The team finished in second place during the Spring 2022 Playoffs after losing to G2 Esports 0-3 in the grand final.

SK Gaming

SK Gaming retained their entire roster despite their underwhelming performance in Spring. The team comprises German players Janik “Jenax” Bartels, Erberk “Gilius” Demir, and Daniel “Sertuss” Gamani, French player Jean “Jezu” Massol, and Swedish player Erik “Treatz” Wessén.

Team BDS

Adam “Adam” Maanane is out, Tobiasz “Agresivoo” Ciba is in.

LEC newcomer Team BDS swapped out Adam for Agresivoo in their LEC roster. Adam will now play in the academy while Agresivoo will return to the LEC stage together with fellow Polish player Robert “Erdote” Nowak.

Team Vitality

It seems Team Vitality’s LEC superteam did not live up to the hype, especially during the Spring Playoffs when they lost to G2 Esports 0-3. The bees ultimately had to make some roster changes and let go of Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek due to differences in playstyles.

Taking over his position is Worlds 2017 champion and former SK Telecom T1 player, Kang “Haru” Min-seung.

“I trust that he will be able to come in and impact our mid game to lead to more victories and success,” said head coach Louis-Victor “Mephisto” Legendre in a statement.

The team has also signed former FunPlus Phoenix player Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo as a substitute jungler.
