The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) has been running for seven years, yet no North American team has ever won the championship title.

The LCS Spring 2023 playoffs offer hope for North American fans, as exceptional players compete for the chance to represent their region at MSI 2023.

Evil Geniuses could return to the MSI stage following their participation in 2022 in Busan, South Korea, where they claimed third to fourth place. The team has qualified for the LCS Spring 2023 playoffs with jungler Kacper “Inspired” Słoma at the helm. As of writing, the Polish player has won six Player of the Game (POG) awards in the LCS Spring 2023 regular season.

Slightly behind Inspired in the POG standings is LCS newcomer and FlyQuest’s new bot laner, Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan, who have secured a spot in the playoffs.

Another player to watch out for is seasoned top laner Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami, who has led Cloud9 to the top of the regular season standings.

Out of the 10 participating teams in the regular season, only the top six will proceed to compete in the playoffs.

The top four teams will face each other in the winners’ bracket, while the fifth and sixth teams will start in the losers’ bracket.

The LCS Spring 2023 playoffs will follow a double-elimination bracket, with matches played in best-of-fives. The winning team will take home the lion’s share of the US$200,000 prize pool, as well as a slot for the upcoming MSI 2023 as the region’s first seed.
