Estes, the Moon Elf King, is one of the best support heroes in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

He is the signature hero of Blacklist International’s renowned captain-roamer Jonmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna, who helped the team conquer the M3 World Championship and MPL Philippines thrice.

Estes is favored by roamers for his unparalleled healing power in the Land of Dawn. Moonlight Immersion and its enhanced version caused by the Blessing of Moon Goddess ultimate provides exceptional sustain to his allies and himself.

He also deals decent magic damage and applies a slow through his Scripture of the Moon Elf passive and ultimate.

His weakness lies in the necessity to link up with his teammates, which makes them vulnerable to damage and crowd control spells with large areas of effect.

3 heroes who effectively counter Estes in Mobile Legends

Atlas

What makes Atlas a solid counter to Estes? Basically, he’s good against teams that like to group up.

Hide in the bush or stay in the backline and wait for him to connect with his allies. Use Perfect Match and Flicker to close the gap, then cast Fatal Links to pull them towards your team. You can also activate Conceal for a more surprising initiation.

Hurl them instantly, for it’s not necessary to maximize the channeling time of your ultimate. If the enemies have Purify, disengage and wait for Fatal Links to come off cooldown.

Buy Dominance Ice for physical defense and anti-regen, and Fleeting Time for to reduce the colldown of your ultimate. If Atlas gets banned, you can opt for Akai or Jawhead instead to ruin the opposing team’s formation.

Baxia

Baxia is the best anti-healing hero in the game because his passive, Baxia Mark, greatly reduces enemies’ shield and HP regen. It also makes him tanky.

Initiate using the Baxia-Shield Unity then activate Tortoise’s Puissance. Lock in on Estes and continuously hit him with Shield of Spirit to force him away from his allies.

Purchase the right defensive items to mitigate enemy attacks, which will buy enough time for your teammates to strike back.

Luo Yi

If you prefer dishing out burst damage to counter Estes, pick Luo Yi. This mage hero deals massive AoE damage with her yin and yang-inspired skill set.

To ensure you trigger the Yin-Yang Reaction from the Duality passive, use one charge of Dispersion to change its color and make it opposite to Rotation. When Estes groups up with his allies, hit them with Dispersion, then cast Rotation.

You can use Diversion to surprise the enemies from behind. Cast it in a bush so you won’t be seen right away.

Buy Necklace of Durance for anti-regen. Alternatively, you can pick Vexana or Pharsa, both of whom have huge AoE ultimates.
