Team Secret finally reveals that it will compete in MPL MY Season 11
Moonton has announced the 10 teams that will compete this season, with two new teams joining from the qualifiers – Yoodo Red Giants and Madness Esports.
Formed in 2014, Team Secret has found success in multiple esports titles such as Dota 2 and Valorant.
The European-based esports organization is also active in the mobile esports scene, with participation in popular titles such as PUBG Mobile. They had also previously ventured into Wild Rift before disbanding their team last year.
This was no surprise to some, as the organization has been hinting at forming an MLBB team for some time, with cryptic posts on their social media page following the M4 World Championship.
CEO John Yao even asked his Facebook followers whether he should purchase an MLBB team.
Moonton has not only disclosed the participating teams for the upcoming season, but also announced that the regular season will take place offline at Stadium Juara in Kuala Lumpur. The details for purchasing tickets to the event will be released soon.
The new season of MPL Malaysia is set to commence on March 10 and will feature various changes such as a decrease in the regular season’s duration from eight weeks to six.
