It’s the dawn of a new era for the RRQ kingdom.
RRQ Hoshi team captain Rivaldi “R7” Fatah is taking a break from competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the organization announced over the weekend.
The veteran EXP laner released a statement on the organization’s YouTube a few days after their M4 World Championship campaign, explaining why he has decided to take a rest ahead of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 11 (MPL ID Season 11).

RRQ Hoshi R7 explains why he is hitting the pause button in his MLBB career
According to the 24-year-old player, his recurring hand injury has hindered his playing ability — the key reason why he’s taking a break from playing competitively.
“I will continue to support Team RRQ because Season 11 will start soon,” he said. “I will continue to support them by live streaming on Youtube and many other ways.”
R7 hinted at retirement after he announced two months ago that he was suffering from a hand injury, and that he has been going to a therapist to alleviate the pain.
This isn’t the end of the veteran EXP laner’s esports career however, for he noted that he is still part of the organization and plans to return soon once his hands feel better.
R7 has been an integral member of RRQ Hoshi. Since joining in Season 4, the EXP laner led the King of Kings to win the championship in Seasons 5, 7, and 9.
This isn’t the first time an MLBB pro player is sitting out because of an esports-related injury. EVOS Legends’ Gustian “REKT” also revealed in Season 9 that he was diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome, a neurological disorder affecting his arms and hands. He has since retired from competitive play to become a full-time content creator.
His former teammate in RRQ, Diky “Tuturu”, also retired in Season 6 after suffering a similar condition affecting his hands.
RRQ Hoshi has yet to announce who will replace the team captain.
