If you’ve been playing tank heroes in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dominance Ice is usually the first item that’s always recommended in the items tab.
It might not have the highest stats among defensive items, but its Arctic Cold passive, which decreases shield, HP regen, and attack speed, is what makes it such an important item.
Still, some players skip Dominance Ice for items with higher defensive stats. Here are three reasons why you should prioritize the extremely versatile defense item in every MLBB match you play.
Dominance Ice works well against any enemy team composition
Whether it’s a simple ranked game or pro play, every team composition in the game has at least one healer or tank hero, such as Balmond, Akai, Rafaela, and Estes.
Dominance Ice counters all of these heroes. The item’s passive, Arctic Cold, reduces the shield and healing of all nearby enemies by a whopping 50%. Having this item alone makes you a walking kryptonite against any team composition.
It’s cost-efficient
The item gives the wielder stats that are very crucial in high-level play.
First off, it’s the only tier-three defense equipment that provides a movement speed boost of 5%. Also, it’s one of the only two items that include mana, which pays off in the late game.
Aside from the shield and HP regen debuff, the item also provides a 30% attack speed debuff to nearby enemies, making it an underrated item against marksman heroes as well.
Dominance Ice gives your allies flexibility in their item build
There are two other items that have the ability to reduce the healing capabilities of enemies, namely Necklace of Durance and Sea Halberd.
Necklace of Durance is mainly used by mage heroes, while Sea Halberd is used by physical damage heroes.
While both these items are great against tanks and healers, mages and marksmen may miss out on much more important equipment.
Ultimately, the tank’s sole purpose is to make the lives of their allies a lot easier, and Dominance Ice does all of that.
