As the Prince of the Abyss, Dyrroth harnesses the power of darkness to become a fearsome fighter hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

He can shred enemies using his ability to weaken their physical defense, allowing him to easily bring down squishy mages and marksmen in the backline.

He has burst damage and can inflict multiple slow effects on enemies, while having a strong spell vamp through his passive.

To truly master playing as Dyrroth, it’s important to have a solid understanding of his abilities and how to use them effectively.

This in-depth guide covers everything you need to know, from the best build, recommended battle spells and emblems, to skill tips and combos that can help you dominate the game.

Dyrroth’s skills in Mobile Legends

Passive – Wrath of the Abyss

When Dyrroth’s Rage reaches 50 percent, he will enhance his first two active skills, Burst Strike and Spectre Step.

After every two basic attacks, he will release Circle Strike, dealing physical damage to enemies in the circle and regenerating HP according to the damage he deals (Circle Strike doesn’t have an attack effect). Each time he hits an enemy hero, the cooldown of Burst Strike and Spectre Step will be decreased by one second.

  • He has two Rage bars, letting you cast the enhanced Burst Strike and Spectre Step consecutively.
  • An enhanced skill consumes one bar of his Rage.
  • Before attacking your target, ensure that the Rage bars are full or you have at least one.
  • Attacking minions and creeps fills his Rage.
  • As much as possible, go to the middle of a minion wave to maximize Circle Strike.
  • Circle Strike can critically strike, and benefits from physical lifesteal as well as skill effects.
  • However, HP regeneration from Circle Strike is halved against minions, and deals the same damage as regular attacks against turrets.

First skill – Burst Strike

Dyrroth releases a burst strike in a designated direction. Each burst deals physical damage to enemies and slows them by 25 percent for 1.5 seconds. (The damage decays against the same target and decreases to only 75 percent on minions.)

Abyss Enhanced: Burst Strike has a longer range, deals 140 percent of the original damage, and its slowing effect is doubled.

  • He regens Rage for each enemy hit of this skill, so make sure to cover the entirety of the minion waves.
  • A regular Burst Strike hits thrice, while the enhanced version hits five times.

Second skill – Spectre Step

Dyrroth dashes in the designated direction. He will stop when he hits a target, dealing physical damage to enemies. When he uses this skill again, he will lock onto a target and release a Fatal Strike, dealing damage and reducing the target’s physical defense by 50 percent for four seconds.

Abyss Enhanced: Fatal Strike will deal 150 percent of the original damage, slow the target by an extra 90 percent, and reduce their physical defense by 75 percent for four seconds.

  • Max this skill first, as this is his initiation and escape ability.
  • Fatal Strike, the second phase of the skill, deals damage three times.
  • The skill goes into cooldown after a successful hit of Fatal Strike, or a few seconds after failing to cast it.
  • You cannot target minions or the summoned Lord with Fatal Strike.

Ultimate – Abysm Strike

Dyrroth quickly charges and releases a Fatal Strike, dealing huge physical damage equal to his base damage, plus 250 percent of his extra physical attack, and 20 percent of the enemies’ lost HP along the way. He also slows them by 55 percent for less than a second.

  • You can extend the range or change the target direction of this ultimate by using Flicker.
  • The cast animation has a slight delay, so you need to predict the direction where your target is moving, or if using Flicker is necessary.
  • Usually, this is the finishing blow, but you can also use this to deal initial burst damage.

Recommended battle spells

If you’re playing as an EXP laner, Flicker is the most ideal battle spell. It can help you chase down opponents or escape from danger. You can also pair it up with Abysm Strike to extend its range or change its target direction.

If you’re facing enemy heroes that like direct combat, such as Freya and Thamuz, opt for Vengeance. This can give you the edge you need to win the lane.

Meanwhile, for those playing as a jungler, Retribution is the obvious choice, as it allows you to clear creeps fast, and helps you secure the Turtle or Lord.

Recommended emblems

Fighter emblem is an excellent choice for Dyrroth. Max out Bravery and Invasion for additional physical attack and penetration. For your primary talent, select Festival of Blood to further boost your spell vamp.

Of course, choose Jungle emblem if you’re a jungler. Put points in Brutal for additional damage to monsters, and Swift for extra attack speed. Take Demon Slayer as your key talent to obtain additional damage against the Lord and Turtle, while taking reduced damage from them.

Best item build

Purchase items that strengthen physical penetration, such as Blade of the Heptaseas, Hunter Strike, and War Axe, to maximize the defense reduction effect of Spectre Step.

Get Dominance Ice for physical defense and lifesteal reduction against the opposing team, as you will be relied upon to target the backline, particularly the enemy marksman.

Buy Malefic Roar or Blade of Despair for physical damage then complete your build with a defensive item, such as Antique Cuirass or Athena’s Shield, depending on the opponent’s composition.

You can go for the same build if you’re playing as a jungler. You just have to bless your Boots with Ice Retribution.

The best build for Dyrroth in Mobile Legends

  • Tough/Warrior Boots (Ice Retribution if jungler)
  • Blade of the Heptaseas
  • Hunter Strike
  • Dominance Ice
  • Malefic Roar
  • Antique Cuirass/Athena’s Shield

Skill combos to learn

In the early game, close the gap against your opponent using Spectre Step, then hit them with Burst Strike and basic attacks. Make sure to have at least one Rage bar before going for an attack to utilize the enhanced version of Spectre Step.

When Abysm Strike becomes available, use it after hitting your target with Spectre Step and Burst Strike. Finish them off with basic attacks if they manage to survive the ultimate.

Remember, you can use Flicker to extend the range or change the target direction of Abysm Strike in case your target tries to flee. To do this, trigger Abysm Strike first then quickly cast Flicker in your intended direction.

You can also start your attack with Abysm Strike, then take down your target using Spectre Step, Burst Strike, and basic attacks. However, you will not be able to deal the extra damage from their lost HP.
