It takes more than in-game skills to become the best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang player, especially if you are playing competitively against some of the toughest teams in the world.
The grind sometimes means missing out on important family events and milestones. Two players that had to make that sacrifice are Blacklist International’s Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario.
The dynamic duo, along with the entire Blacklist International squad, chose to forgo the holiday festivities with their loved ones in December, for they are competing in the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia from January 1 to 15.
The team had been staying in Indonesia since December 17 to prepare for the tournament. Despite the hardship of not seeing their family for weeks, the V33Wise duo believes the sacrifice will be worth it.

If you have a bigger goal, you need to have a bigger sacrifice, according to Blacklist International’s OhMyV33nus
In the post-game press conference after their victory against Turkey’s Incendio Supremacy, Wise talked about not being able to celebrate Christmas and new year with their loved ones.
It’s all about mindset,” he said. “My family will understand, we will see them [after] anyways.”
“For me, it’s really all about passion If your dream is to become a world champion,” OhMyV33nus added. “if you have a bigger goal, you need to have a bigger sacrifice.”
Their sacrifice has been paying off so far. Up against Incendio Supremacy in the group stage, the duo made quick work of the Turkish representative to secure the top spot in Group A with a 1-0 record.
Wise was proclaimed the MVP of the match for his stellar contributions on Valentina, sporting a flawless 3/0/6 KDA.
They will next face Cambodia’s Burn X Flash tomorrow at 6 p.m. GMT+8 and Myanmar’s Falcon Esports at 8 p.m. GMT+8.
