Having retained point guard Shaka “Yeah I Compete” Browne and power forward DeMar “Deedz” Butler from their lineup in the inaugural season, Jazz Gaming were in need of a center from the draft. With the first overall pick, the team had the luxury to pick up Ria — arguably the best big man player in the draft pool — and didn’t waste much time in doing so.
Jazz Gaming had a solid start to the inaugural season, but flamed out to finish with a 5-9 record in the regular season. Thanks to some luck in the lottery that snagged them arguably the draft’s top prospect with the first overall pick, Jazz Gaming now seem set to make a splash in the 2019 season.
