Two teams made up of returning players and rookies of the NBA 2K League will be facing off ahead of the start of the league’s 2019 season in the NBA 2K League Draft Clash at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival.
Those two teams will duke it out across three scrimmage matches, which will be held on the Dell Main Stage at SXSW on March 16.
The rookie team will be headlined by the number one pick of the 2019 NBA 2K League Draft, Spencer “Ria” Wyman of Jazz Gaming, and the league’s first female player, Chiquita “ChiquitaE126” Evans of the Warriors Gaming Squad.
They will be joined Zach “Vandi” Vandivier of Grizz Gaming, Michael “BearDaBeast” Key of T-Wolves Gaming, and Devin “DevGoss” Gossett of the Hawks Talon GC.
The rookies will face off against a team of league veterans led by last year’s number one pick, Artreyo “Dimez” Boyd of Mavs Gaming, and Season 1 champion Dayvon “GOOFY757” Curry of Knicks Gaming.
They are joined by Timothy “oLARRY” Anselimo of the Cavs Legion GC, Alexander “Steez” Bernstein of the 76ers GC, and Nicolas “Swizurk” Grech of Pacers Gaming.
