The second Overwatch 2 beta is now live for both PC and console players. But if you signed up for the beta and haven’t received access yet, fret not.

Blizzard has said that it is slowly increasing server capacity, and it won’t really open the floodgates until Tuesday, July 5. The goal of this current beta is for Blizzard to test its console and cross-play capabilities as it scales up server testing, so it is first selecting a small group of players based on the platform they play on.

Beta access does not roll over, and players will have to sign up again for the second Overwatch 2 beta even if they played the first one.

The developer hopes to provide access to all players who opt-in to the beta by no later than July 14. However, players who purchase the Overwatch 2: Watchpoint Pack on a platform where the beta is available will be granted immediate beta access.

The beta will run through July 18, giving players their first introduction to new tank hero Junker Queen and a hybrid map called Paraiso.

Hailing from Junkertown, Junker Queen is a tank capable of dishing out punishing amounts of damage. Her secondary fire, Jagged Blade, deals damage over time, as does Carnage, which sees her swing her axe in a wide arc in front of her.

She can also momentarily increase her health and that of nearby allies with Commanding Shout, in addition to buffing their movement speed.

Blizzard has also rolled out additional tweaks to existing heroes, such as a 50 percent damage reduction on Cassidy’s Combat Roll. Junkrat’s Steel Trap has also been buffed, once again fully immobilizing trapped enemies.

Elsewhere, games will adopt the same format as the traditional competitive mode in Overwatch, where teams will take turns attacking and defending on payload maps.

Overwatch 2 launches in early access on October 4 as a free-to-play title.
