PUBG Mobile is kicking off its 2020 competitive season with the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) Spring Split, which begins on January 23. The first tournament of the year is giving skillful teams a shot at a lucrative US$1M prize pool.
The 2020 PMCO will divide the hefty prize pool throughout the two splits of spring and fall and will usher in the first PUBG World World Championship in 2020.
Tencent has already announced its official schedule for the Spring Split:
- Registration (January 3-21)
- Qualifiers (January 23 to February 2)
- Regional Group Stage and Semi-Finals (February 2020)
- Regional Finals (March 2020)
- World League (May 2020)
PMCO 2020 will use the same tournament settings as last year. Games throughout the whole tournament will be played in third-person perspective (TPP) with all four maps (Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi) available for play.

What’s new with this year’s PMCO is the number of regions allowed to play. Sixteen regions are participating in PMCO 2020. These are:
- Latin America (LATAM)
- Europe
- The Middle East and Africa
- South Asia
- Wildcard
- SEA Wildcard
- North America
- Brazil
- Turkey
- CIS
- Germany
- Iraq
- Saudi Arabia
- India
- Pakistan
Even with PMCO 2020 already being a big tournament, it is the perfect precursor to each region’s league seasons and the PUBG Mobile World League.
