The Capcom Pro Tour 2021 is finally underway with its first online regional premier set in Japan. 511 competitors, which include the best players of the country, will be fighting for a spot in Capcom Cup VIII.
The Japan 1 online qualifier has eight pools, and will follow a double-elimination format with a winners’ and losers’ bracket. Two players from each pool will advance to the Top 16. Day 1 of the online qualifier will conclude after only eight players remain in the competition.
