Day 3 of Combo Breaker 2019 featured a losers semifinals match between Battle Arena Melbourne 11 champ, Masahiro “Machabo” Tominaga, and Tatsuya “Haitani” Haitani. This Necalli versus Akuma set had everything you could ask for in a Street Fighter V showcase.
It comes with an insane game-breaking dive kick that stopped Akuma’s Critical Art.
The only thing missing in this Haitani comeback was the Guile theme song.
The match also featured highly optimized Akuma target combos.
And of course, there’s going to be a wake-up Dragon Punch in such a high caliber match.
The match ended with an intense scramble situation in what looked like another Haitani comeback, but Machabo was able to quell the attack with a mere jab. Machabo advanced to face Problem-X in the losers finals.
